Why, you ask? Take a look:
TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) — Florida Sen. Jason Brodeur (R-Lake Mary) wants bloggers who write about Gov. Ron DeSantis, Attorney General Ashley Moody, and other members of the Florida executive cabinet or legislature to register with the state or face fines.
Brodeur’s proposal, Senate Bill 1316: Information Dissemination, would require any blogger writing about government officials to register with the Florida Office of Legislative Services or the Commission on Ethics.
Now, I’ve dealt with the media, so I know how they can distort things. So I went ahead and read through the article, and…

I will say the same of Gov. Ron DeSantis, Attorney General Ashley Moody, and any other member of the executive cabinet or legislature stupid enough to think this ridiculous bill passes muster. I will speak, privately or publically, and write, privately or publically, on WHATEVER THE HELL I WANT, you jelly-spined cretin.
I will continue to do so, regardless of whether or not the bill passes because it’s my RIGHT UNDER THE FIRST AMENDMENT to criticize utter doorknobs like yourself who think they can intimidate me into silence.
Oh, the bill only affects those who get paid to write about the morons - like you - that infest the Flordia state government? No problem! I am sure that I can find someone more than happy to pay me to expound upon your lily-livered cowardice.
In the event that it becomes necessary, I will drive down to Florida with printouts of my articles detailing why you are a useless waste of oxygen and hand them out to any and all who will take them. Maybe I’ll title it something like “Common Sense”.
