When I do an editing pass, normally the story ends up fatter, because I hadn't realized that what was in my head did not transfer to the paper the last pass.
Someone's going to look at my post about typos & say, "Ah, yes, I see what he did there. He included a typo within the statement about the prevalence of typos itself as an ironic example! Well played, sir! Well played."
