I really feel the house meme this week. I have been trying to decide if we are going to have to do a pen name for my darker writing since the current brand is so light. But i can't imagine having 2 substacks and 2 of everything...

I know exactly what you mean. I decided early on that if I went that route, I was going to stay _me_, instead of creating entirely different personas online... but that I'd switch things up slightly with pen names so that (for example) "Sam Robb" was fantasy, "S. J. Robb" was horror, etc. I've seen some authors do that, and it seems to work well enough.

Huh. That war crime/annoyance post is legit thunkful.

Best part of Monday. I wait until I'm tired of accounting then go to my precious "Meme Monday" post, my precious.

The one for me, make me laugh out loud, is the asphalt road. That definitely resonates.

Thank you! That made my day. :)

Oh, how true. I've gotten a post already and will no doubt get more about what the ideas that trigger stories actually are.

The goth house and the pink house being both "my writing" hits close to home. Half of me wants to write action science fiction that crosses into horror, and the other half wants to write the rough equivalent of an episodic '80s and '90s kids show.

I'm going to shoot for the happy medium between the two of science fiction in the same vein as gargoyles, Batman The animated series, and other animated shows that were good enough for adults, but kids enjoy them too.

Also the meme immediately below that with the butterfly hits too.

I know what you mean. Even my "funny" stuff seems to have a bit of darkness mixed in.
