You know how some weeks are simply packed with obligations? Work. Grad parties. Someone at church asked you to fill in for them, friends from out of town are here for lunch, and you promised your daughter you’d go see That Movie with her on release day… oh, and that get-together you scheduled with Bob and Jean three months ago somehow ends up right smack dab in the middle of everything.
Yeah, those weeks.
Well, this ain’t one of ‘em, thankfully. :-) Shari has been a jealous guard of our time, which is why we were able to go heads down, finish up the edits to Minstrels in the Galaxy, push the button and… publish.
Yep. As Ozymandias would say, “I did it thirty-five minutes ago.”
You can get Minstrels in the Galaxy in eBook or treeware editions now!
The reviews are already coming in…
"This is the most ridiculous thing I've seen, and I LOVE it."
"This appears to be a real thing and there is a companion volume called Tales From The Wood, and I'm super excited about both of them!"
"What a fantastic concept! I love how the anthology draws inspiration from Jethro Tull's music."
Well, OK. Not reviews so much as reactions to the initial announcement. They still count, though.
In related news, Shari & I have both been gearing up for LibertyCon. I am on a couple of panels this year, but that’s the icing on the cake, so to speak. I plan to spend a good amount of my time socializing and/or talking shop with various folks. Breakfasts, lunches, and possibly one or two instances of “Hey, can we sit down and talk about this project?”
It’s going to be fun.
Oh, and on Shari’s side of things, now that she’s Officially an Editor, we got her set up with her own Amazon Author’s Page. One of my goals today is to help her get that all red up today so when we get to LibertyCon, she can snag an “Editors” ribbon for her badge. She’s looking to kick-start her career in fiction editing, and LibertyCon is absolutely the place to do it.
Last but not least, on the drive down to LC, we’re going to be listening to and team-editing the stories for Tales from the Wood. There’s a lot to be done there, and we’d like to get that more or less finished by the first of August. So we’ve had a few days off, a few days to celebrate, and now we’re going to dive right back in.
See yinz guys and all y’all on the other side of LC!
Followed!
Congrats guys! You all did great!
