Wyrd West is now live!
Well. Except that it’s not live, is it? I mean, it’s a book, obviously. So I suppose it would be… animated? Except that it was once alive, because you know, tree. So if it’s live now, being something that was killed, dismembered, and then re-animated, that would technically make it some sort of… undead?
Hmm. Oddly enough, that fits quite well.
Wyrd West is now undead!
What are you in for if you purchase this fine volume, you might ask?
At the fringes of civilization, anything can be true. Tall tales turn into fantastical realities, and the hidden is revealed to a few who brave the wilderness to push forward in exploration. The American Old West would have been no different, as chronicled in these tales of strange creatures, daring heroes, and unbelievable occurrences... or are they so far-fetched?
My story, “Benediction in Lead”, is about an ex-Pinkerton agent turned Federal marshal. When the town he’s looking for literally disappears, he turns to itinerant preacher Hezekiah Gaunt for aid. That’s when he finds out that nothing is what it seems to be — because it is much, much worse.
